Hahaha...i'm glad that I found a site that I can post my goofy ideas. Eng-tips.com kept kicking me off and deleting my messages because they lack any scientific creativity. I might be complete wrong in my thinking, but at least I try to be creative. I'll post my question here. OF course any genius engineer wouldn't be on that site anyway...lol. Give those idiots a solder iron and skematics and they'll be happy..lol. Okay, enough griping.

Anyone, have any experience with devices or inventions that can withdraw energy from the atmosphere or universe? The reason why I posted that on that on the engineering website is because I don't know a whole lot about electricity. I was looking at some tesla coils, they produce alot of energy. From 115 volts and 6amps...they can produce 500,000 volts and 30,000 watts. However, the amps are only 60 mA per 4k volts...so I don't really thing that it might produce or amplify any extra energy or much at all. I'm poor and I want to try to create a device to draw energy from the universe (which I know is possible). I know that there is a variation of the tesla coil that can do this, but I'm not sure how much energy that it can draw. I'm sure a tesla coil can become very powerful and dangerous, that's why it's not used much for power. Edison kept putting Tesla on the run, and the wireless power from it...that was an awesome creation!!!! Not to mention using the human body as a conductor. Tesla is correct when he said alot of people are afraid of the extraordinary.

Anyway, any help on how to accomplish something like drawing energy from the universe....on a poor guys budget..will help thanks!!! smile.gif

Windmill.

Yep, a windmill is great. I used to live in Holland. I was an exchange student in Rotterdam...I got to see them occasionally. Unfortunately, I live in an urban area....I probably would be on the 6 o'clock news having a windmill in my front or back yard..lol. In addition, the power company MLGW is owned by the city goverment. They would probably make me tear it down. Some days we have alot of wind, and some days we have 0. I would have to have something to store the energy to use on days that there's no wind...it might be an expensive endeavor. sad.gif

I don't know about what you talking, but universe radiating only very weak electromagnetic waves, which don't have much energy.

Yes, but everything does seem connected. A little receiver setting there just sucking energy probably won't produce much power. We have barely scratched the understanding of the universe and other things. Everything has some sort of energy. Attracting some energy from a particle (which is affected by other particles)..and using that power to attract the energy from the other particles....almost seems that power can grow exponentially. Perhaps, I'm thinking about something that we don't even have the technology for. The universe has a infinite amount of power to be tapped into...especially if you believe in things like the folding time and space theory. The sun radiates energy, jupiter radiates energy, and quasars radiate energy.....and I image the opposite of a black whole, a white whole radiates energy. I know they can distort time.

Well since your a self proclaimed nutter (most nutters on this board aren't conscious of the fact of being nuts) you could go crazy with these.

Lol....i'm probably am a nut. Anyway I got to thinking...we may not have the technology to control something like I'm thinking about. It might seem that if I made something like that, it would create a minature black hole...and I don't think my parents would be to happy with me sucking in their house or even the neighborhood in my little invention to generate power free power. The government might lock me up in a little padded room for the rest of my life.

The best you could do is burn the house down, but you still might end up in the padded room.

Something to remember about most engineers, they don't think along the lines of invention and scientific progress, they are more concerned with applying proven science and technology to a problem. They may at times come up with innovative ways of reapplying proven methods to a problem.

But a minature black hole, I wouldn't want to mess around with that kind of thing. I don't even know how someone without a lot of backing to do that. But if you are interested in pulling energy from the ether, I would suggest looking into something called the Casimir Effect. It's quantum physics-ee, so I don't really understand how it works.

Sorry, but no.

Magfuck,

Are you like water?, hope so - 'cause I intend to drink your incredulously cretinous self, then piss you down dad1's throat.
