We evolved into modern man from another branch of the tree of life after the divergence( after the split) We were the same but neither were monkey or man . Mentality thinking monkeys are way different in thought than man . Monkeys are more independent thinkers . It is mans ability to copy one another that makes them special . See I have this Hypothesis that the woman in the clans were the cannibals and it was normal behavior to eat other tribes . Even hunt them.
