A 40 kilogram barrel is rolled up a 10 meter long ramp to a height of 5 meters.

( a ) How much does the barrel weigh

( B ) How much work was done?

© If the person extered an effort force of 250 Newtons to roll the barrel along the ramp, what is the efficieny of the ramp?

Any help at all would be great.
I haven't a clue what I'm doing.

Hi, welcome to the forum.
I suspect this problem is aimed at familiarising you with Newtons.
Weight = m*g = 40*9.8 newtons - this is actually the force that the barrel exerts on the floor.
Work is done in raising a mass (m) up a height (h) = m*g*h - so that's 5 times the previous answer.
I am not sure about the wording of the third part. Probably has something to do with the length of the ramp as that has not been used yet.
