hi guys,

i am working on an experiment and faced a problem that i hope someone can help me with. i have an electromagnet set up that is fixed at a certain distance from a small plastic chamber that is attracting small metal spheres inside the chamber. how can i calculate the force(N) on the spheres due to the magnetic field?

Bad luck for you, this is very complicated to compute.

Just a slight hope if the electromagnet has no iron, and the sphere is highly permeable, and the sphere is small as compared to the electromagnet's diameter and distance.

You should better measure it instead of computing.
