I wonder why the cutoff at 50 nm. Possibly original 50 nm features for the templates were hard to get?

Nanoimprint is back in the news these days.

With RAM and nonvolatile memory cell arrays getting bigger, while cell sizes are getting smaller, it is quite tempting to just make a pattern of one cell and stamp it repeatedly to make an array.
