Please take this anonymous survey on global warming. The results will be used for a study on how people create their knowledge on the topic of global warming. The survey should take 2-3 minutes.

THANK YOU!

The survey questions:

Do you believe global warming is happening? Yes or No
Do you believe humans are responsible (completely or partially) for global warming? Yes or No

I've been debating for years about GW but still 90+% of the people on both sides of the issue would likely answer Yes Yes.

Very few claim there is NO warming.
Very few claim that man is not at PARTIALLY responsible (probably about as many who claim that man is completely responsible).

That still leaves a LOT of room for discussion.

Yes...it is a very simple survey and focused on media...looks like they need to know which medium to make use of, to further convince one way or the other?
Ridiculous really.

The goal of the survey is not to find how many people beleive global warming it is to to see how people create thier knowledge on global warming.

P.S. I am an Anthropologist not a Physical Scientist, Hope that clears a few things up.

Thanks for your help!! I will post results on all the participating forums when I have finished, if you are curious. smile.gif

Then I don't understand the point of the two useless questions?

Do you believe global warming is happening?
Do you believe humans are responsible (completely or partially) for global warming?

The last thing I want to do is take part in a survey with questions as silly at those and then find out LATER the surveyor proclaims that 95% of respondents believe Global Warming is happening and that humans are responsible

The two questions are for sorting and demographic purposes.

You might also be suprised to know that currently 42% are currently coming in at no on both questions. But that is preliminary, so I am not counting my chickens just yet.

I'm a bit surprised, but not that much, given the BINARY nature of your question concerning a complicated topic, you force people to take very polarized views.

I'd say that many people who answer NO NO are reading your questions as: Do you believe ANTHROPOGENIC Global Warming is happening?

Thus if you answer NO to the first question then you would of course answer NO to the second question.

My guess would be a lot of people who acknowledge that SOME GW is caused by humans would still CHOOSE to knowingly answer the question this way simply because GW is as such a POLITICAL issue.

Tell me, what percent are answering NO GW but YES man is responsible?

laugh.gif

You really only have three logical answers to your questions:

YES there is GW and YES man is at least partially responsible

or

YES there is GW but NO man isn't even partially responsible

or

NO GW so NO man can't be responsible for what is not happening
