Does anyone know of a low temperature engine? I have a property with a hot spring at 150 F and a cold spring at 40 F. I would like to operate an engine between these two temperatures to drive an generator and produce electricity.

It looks like 150 degrees F is perfect for a steam powered system. You are ready to rock and roll. This link has some good stuff to get you started.

Damn, you are lucky. I'd love to have something like that to play with.

gogreen,
Do you have any neighbors? ,,, want some?? cool.gif

2 heat exchangers and a mix valve,, instant air conditioner, refridgerator, food warmer, hot tub. Man, the list could go on and on.
(almost) Free electricity. I'd play with some one way valves and pipe the cold water through the hot water,, the expantion should give enough movement to power a generator.
