Heya,

I understand that I can calculate the acceleration of an object released at the top of an inclined surface using g*Sin(theta), but if I were to drop an object onto an inclined surface and let it accelerate down, how do I calculate the initial velocity of that object after it hits?

calc the downward velocity in the vertical drop and then use that , times sin(theta) as the initial velocity of the object as it slides down the inclined plane.

ie
v=v(vertical)sin(theta) + gsin(theta) *t
