Yet another data point for the rational people... Wait you mean the earth is not flat and its not at the center of the universe? Life must have evolved on earth because conditions here were so nice 2.5 billion years ago. We must be the only rocky planet with any habitable environments. And there is no way that a microbe that survives 2 miles under our rocky surface could ever survive 2 miles under another planet"s rocky surface - what would they possibly eat? I"m tired of kidding, we are going to find microbial life elsewhere in our solar system and beyond - but we need return samples back to earth or the naysayers will never shut up.

Life begins _spontaneously_, if the conditions are _right_, given enough _time_, that is. It's just what atoms do!

I believe that Mars and Venus ALSO had life, at some point, if only microbes.

As could possibly Titan (Mars?) also, even NOW.

And we thought there was only ONE. So arrogant.

Now, how many planets were there?

Life control by universe not only planet, its cluster of planets like giant planets 40 days (earth) = one day biggrin.gif

I personally think panspermia plays a role in the development of life on worlds.
