Hi, what if the newspaper that we read is completely fake. Its a big exploitation of media. Neither obama is prez of usa, neither there is any war, every news is just deliberately created. Every news is fake. The news are something else, and printed something else.

There's this thing called the internet, perhaps you've heard of it? It allows you to talk to people in other places. In fact, you can easily chat with people in foreign countries! You can ask them things like "Hey, how's that war going in your country?" If what they say agrees with what the news says, what does that mean?

Bellbottom, it's even deeper than that...

YOU are the only human in the universe. The aliens have set up an experiment to determine what consciousness is and YOU are their project.

Shhh, don't let on that you know, or else they'll have to declare the experiment invalid. And with the current economy it's gonna be hard to allocate funds to start all over... and you know what that means! ph34r.gif

Every time I've had first hand knowledge of a newspaper story, they got something wrong. A company I was working for was late with payroll for the second time in a row. The newspapers said the company had missing two payrolls. close but not 100% accurate. We were a union shop and people would not have kept working if the pay was more than a week late.
There have been more examples over the years.

A minor error to be sure but the point is it wasn't 100%.

And of course stories that I didn't witness first hand have had serious errors. One said the rubber in the car's tire protects you from lightning by grounding the car.

A science fiction story I read had a great quote by one of the characters.

Never suspect a conspiracy when simple incompetence explains the situation.
(or something along those lines)

Not really off topic, but does anyone really watch 'tv' anymore?
giuseppe
The corporations control the media and the news we can see on tv and read on the newspaper , the media serve the owner of such corporartion , the owner only allow such media to show what he want the people to know , if the owner want to hide and cover up some information the media is forced to hide such information

"..does anyone really watch 'tv' anymore? "

Not me. Since we got satellite tv I find the 'breaks' are so long I ended up watching (say) 10 minutes of Star Trek, 10 minutes of people falling into swimming pools, 10 minutes of incredibly fat people and then back to a totally different episode of Star Trek - not very satisfying - so I've given up.

PBS FOREVER!

heh.. i haven't 'watched' tv since like 1999 or so. I spend a lot of time on the internet. It covers a very wide agenda of interactive activities, something tv has not been able to achieve and never will.
Try explaining this to people who aren't 'computer minded', though myspace and facebook seems to be sucking in a whole lot of non computer literate/interested people. I know this is so by simple overhearing of conversation from people i work with. Ha, try telling them what a forum is. blink.gif

Since 2001 , about nine years ago I stopped watch television , after the lies of the media about 9/11 because were forced to cover up and shield the credibility of the bush regime officials involved in the controlled demolitions of the World Ttrade Center buildings , my television went straight into the bin to become garbage

Let me get this straight... In 2001, a.k.a. less than 4 months after the attacks, you knew about the conspiracy. Isn't that a really terrible conspiracy if people are aware of it before the month is out? Most good conspiracies are not obvious, and are revealed much later. This would have to be the most obvious conspiracy of all time, since it was immediately (and correctly!) guessed.

Please use common sense.

Early in life I had noticed that none event is ever correctly reported in a newspaper or in tv

Maybe its because most reporters are not sufficiently qualified on any given topic to give a non biased well researched report.

Right , I totally agree those reporters are not able to do a non biased and well researched report

Remember that "some" reporters does not mean "all" reporters. Journalism alive and kicking in a few corners of the media. The New York Times does a decent job for being a large media company.

They have had a good reputation for a long time.
Have you seen the movie Dr. Strangelove?

The Russian ambassador says that the States was working on a doomsday machine and the president says no they aren't.

The Russian ambassador says "I have a reliable source, I read it in the New York Times."

(and if you havn't seen the movie, then make sure you do)

The New York Times belong to the corporations therefore is a B.S.

So, according to you, the only reliable reporters are unemployed crackpots?

Just like you people don't have any liking about the news happenings in india; similarly neither i have any interest in world news happenings. Sometimes i take note of the content of world news over a span of a year, then it seems the world news happenings are neither much of interest to your own country people from where it generally comes from. Like the recent tsunami, even sri lankans neither have any consideration for what happened! But still they would again come up with the same news discussions. Then perhaps i'll visit new york and no one is talking about 911 in usa. But many still discuss it on internet that too far away from USA! Lol I think you all got/needed a fair amount of thoughts to discuss unlike what your usual stuff like what your mother asked you to remember what color your grannys' panties were? Lol And about the fart modalities(of pale expressionless) of how to present news, then ask reuters.
