If two measuring/entangling devices were used instead of one, we would expect the measuring devices to entangle with each other? Adding more measuring devices to the system would just add more parties to the entanglement?

I see great danger here! It's been great fun so far, but someone is going to begin efforts to "entangle" atoms in living cells and you will open "Pandora's Box" with no plan on how to shut it!!! Drop it now while it's in the "fun" stage!!! PLEASE !!!

Elven take on this is there is no limit. The limit imposed by quantum entanglement is only limited through the mass of an object not it's "size". If the mass of a particle or even a battleship could be made small enough to allow matter waves to entangle through the de Broglie Matter Wave Principle, the particle or battleship will begin to exhibit "spooky properties" that were once the domain of single quantum particles or photons. We see that quanta are "attributes" not intrinsic properties of very light systems.

Mass will also turn out to be an "attribute" as well. This does not violate any conservation principle we know since "mass" has not been seen as necessarily "primary". We think gravity is a force but according to Einstein's Theories it is only a pseudo-force. String Theory takes this one step further into the realm of the Holographic Universe. A little reading is in order for those with "culture shock".

In a Discover, June 2005 article Roger Penrose discussed some future experiments which might reveal the links of gravity to quantum theory.
His proposal used very low mass mirrors and beam splitters as well.

Can/Will the work in this report be extended to provide experimental evidence for quantum gravity?

My opinion is to keep an open mind on this and think outside the quantum box. There is more than one way to skin Schrodinger's Cat. I am sure that science is close to an answer... is it the answer it is looking for?

Wow! I am DElighted with this. Even better than that pseudo-entangled drop experiment. Here are macroscopic objects way bigger than Bucky-balls (previous record breaker) getting entangled. major, major implications for quantum consciousness, as all that helps q. computing. Tegmark made headlines in nature a few years ago claiming that the noisy brain would not allow superposition - but if bio-photons play the role of the lasers in some way, then millions of neurons could be entangled, allowing quantum modules in the brain.

Yes! a blow against the materialists, as this could be the thin end of the wedge for a new Descartes dualism - instead of the Pineal gland we have the macro quantum as lever for the soul to supervene on the brain.
