Hello, t'is I, annoying electron gun question guy laugh.gif

I was quietly thawing some pork chops in the microwave oven when I got around thinking "what makes these microwaves? - surely it has to do something with smacking electrons into something.". So I Googled it some and found out about this magnetron doohickey in there. So the question is; Is the electron.. "gun" in my microwave "stronger" than the one in my CRT monitor? (With stronger I mean, do the electrons have more energy.. "omphf" if you're in want of a technical term wink.gif )

Now I'm thinking the microwave oven magnetron is probably not something you can pick apart to get the actual "gun" from since it's probably(?) an all-in-one-encapsulated microwave-electron gun whatchamacallit by the k.i.s.s principle, it's just a matter of general curiosity..
.. where the heck did my cat go off to anyway?
