There is a rocket launch scheduled to take place at Wallops Island this week, weather willing. The launch has already been delayed twice to due to the current wind and rain we are having in Virginia.

The Minotaur I rocket has a bright plume during launch and, depending where you live in relation to the East Coast, it will be highly visible for miles.

Of course, these launches do cause some to see UFOs, wormholes and all manner of odd phenomenon.
