In the event that my theoretical concepts are of value to mankind in general I wish to ensure that all may know that anything I personally have published on this site is the result of a literature search and my intellect alone without any external assistance from any Corporate, Government, Private Source or other body, and as such being publically released cannot be patented or withheld by any self interested persons, Corporations or Governments or used by them for any restrictive purpose. The information is released by my authority alone for the use of all and without any further sanctions other than due Scientific Acknowledgment.

No one should fear any restriction imposed here if you work for the well being of all and not attempt to restrict others in exploiting these ideas freely... For within this framework there may be a great number of potential commercial developments which will need patents. It is just the concepts that are "protected" from individual restrictive exploitation and sanctions.

my own experience of inventing is the the patent is just a waste of time.
If it is a really good idea that will potentially make millions
then the patent just advertises it to all the world and within a few months there will be similar patents possibly better
or just enough difference to be a competitive to your patent or invention.
An invention has to have a very sound business plan with it or it will fail.

in some cases it is better to set up a sound business plan around your invention and start selling it on the open market and thus no one can patent it.
--If some one changes the idea a bit then you are already in the market and selling with out the costs of patents etc.
as you will have a signed witnessed recipt of the first sale then no one can ever stop you from selling it or any subsequent improvements.

Appreciate what you say. I am not attempting to exploit any part of my ideas. I am quite "heartened" by the fact you say that patenting is a "waste of time". The intention is to ensure that a patent is not taken out or that such patents could be used to prevent general knowledge or public exploitation.

There is no "sale" since this idea is now fully in the public domain as an "idea". I fully expect people to exploit it and I don't mind them profiting from the ideas or patenting specific devices as long as they do not claim ownership of my contributions which are "concept" and "principle" only which will remain "public" as Scientific Knowledge.

If these principles can be used for the general benefit of humanity I do not wish to impede this in any way... heaven knows peoples everywhere need to have some hope for a better future than what is developing in this present time. I would rather put my trust in "blind" Scientific Principles to advance mankind (as it has done in the past) than put these principles in the hands of Industrialists and Politicians whose activities achieve nothing other than gain for the already rich.

This is exactly why i don't share anything I have worked on until it's completely ready to be shown. I even make anyone I work with sign, and date a contract saying they will with-hold any information from any work they do with me.
