Hi everyone I am new although I was on the beta version of Theology on Line back in...97 or was it 98?
I was recently looking at a fossil of a 500 million year old clam that looked exactly like a clam today. Of course it is a long shot but what if the first DNA of a species is predetermined from the Beginning strand formation to be a clam then once it is a clam it stops evolving unless forced by the environment and its immediate surrounding?
The reason I want to tackle such a well and formidable opponent as Darwin is that I have a theory of thought trying to be completed through meditation and a "Niche" Utopia that is complete but still subjected by the conscious and environment that we live in. Like a small stream of water that has to stop at a huge dam allowing huge volumes of water to come forward but it is unable to move any further. A working belief system allowing mankind to complete its search for the meaning of life and to form never ending source of collective conscious as part of our predetermined DNA outcome. It is late, just a thought.

That's not contradicting Darwin, that's essentially his main premise, minus the knowledge of DNA as the mechanism for heredity.

The meaning of life is a subjective individual or social agreement that like everything else in this universe, be it clam or human belief system, is in a constant state of evolution. You won't find it in your meditation, but your act of meditation will contribute to it.

Is the clam perfect or adequate? Is man to be perfect or adequate if his environment can be held constant?
