I was killfiled for 15 days. I had no idea why, and knew of no way to find out. After I got unkillfiled I clicked the Warn button, and got the message that I had been warned on August 30 which I still know nothing about, and that I was suspended for "copyright infringement" which I also know nothing about. So I spent a while looking back through the last posts I made and could find no examples of what I had been killfiled for. Does anyone know what copyright infringements I might have been killfiled for?

Also, it says warn is 20%. What does that mean?

Excellent observation! You are clearly an expert on copyright law!

I could have just given my own interpretation of what it said, but instead of that I presented the material itself so people could form their own opinion without the contamination of my own. That of course would be less in my favor if I had been trying to push my own interpretation, but it still seems like the best and most impartial way to do it is the way I did it. In the future I'll know not to do it the best and most impartial way in this forum, but instead I'll present my own interpretation of what something says and may or may not include exactly where I got it so people can form their own opinion. This sort of thing is why I've always disliked moderated forums--I like the "anything goes" approach of unmoderated news groups--but apparently most people like the feeling of security they get from having a nanny to killfile the evil ones, or whatever. I point out things people don't like to think about but I feel are significant, so I end up being hated and am aware of it going in. People don't killfile others because of being wrong or dishonest...for that they instead have fun pointing out what they're wrong or lying about. People killfile others for pointing out truths that conflict with what they want to believe. I've been posting in news groups for many years and have been called every type of sob there is, been lied to and lied about thousands of times and probably have been killfiled by over a hundred people, but I've never killfiled anyone myself or even considered doing so.

Some people like sense over nonsense.
You prefer nonsense, fine for you.
But what's the point of that?

Hmmm...so does that mean since King James and his crew are all dead and gone no one owns the copyright, but the NIV society still and always will own copyright to the NIV or something like that?

It was a quote from the Bible, and if it's nothing but nonsense to you that's not my fault. I may be a villain for having posted it, but you can't blame me for it if YOU think what the Bible says is nonsense. The worst I did was present the material so people could decide for themselves--or not--but I provided the opportunity.

The point was to compare what the Bible says with what the Koran says if dude ever got around to presenting what it actually does say instead of just his interpretation of it. But apparently we don't do that here. sad.gif

Although Disney is working hard to prevent that.
