I was wondering how long it would take a comet to travel from the Oort Cloud to Earth? What is the average speed of one, and also is the Oort Cloud in anyway in the vincinity of the big dipper. Is it possible for a comet to be coming from the Oort Cloud and actually be near the big dipper?

Any answer will due. Thank you for your time

Well, I can't answer the first questions, but I can the last. The nearest star is four lightyears away. The Oort clould is just outside the solar system--or what we perceive as the solar system. It could be considered part of the solar system. A comet can be between us and the big dipper, but it can't get anywhere near it. The big dipper is very far away.
