Cinemascope Movies.

We see some movies which are made CinemaScope i.e. shot with anamorphic lens and other technology.

1. What type of movies would be preferred for creating CinemaScope ?. i.e. Thriller, Horror, Romantic, Action, Suspense, Tragedy etc.

2. Is there any additional cost for creating a CinemaScope Movie ?.

3. Are CinemaScope Movies still being produced ?. what are the advancements in technology regarding this type of movies being produced ?.

Note : CinemaScope used anamorphic lens used for shooting wide screen movies.
