Well, not surprising! I"ve installed firewall protection on my personally computer. I"m running traceroutes back to systems attempting to hack my system. A huge percentage of attacks are coming from China (i.e. Hardin, Beijing, Shanghai, etc ...). I suspect this happening to systems all over the USA. I hear nothing about it from the media.

I believe US teamed up with China and asked Chinese hackers to see if they could break into Pentagon. Chinese did, and the US is looking to fix the problem.
