University of Southampton team has found new technique through which they are able to change the color of world's most precious metal by embossing tiny raised and indented pattern onto the metal surface that can change the way it absorbs and reflect light,so to the human eye it doesn't appear "golden" in color at all.
Really great invention has done by researcher..
How freakingly stupid is that!
Must instantly coat my £1,000,000 24 carat bling in that faeces, so I look like a 3rd world peasant $2 bejeweled fuckup.

The outer electrons of gold move at a significant fraction of the speed of light.
Wrong - did you even read the article? ..... imbecile.
Only the innermost electrons are subject to significant relativistic affects - simply common sense for anyone possessing a head that hasn't been pulverized by multiple strikes of a sledgehammer.
I think you got it backwards;

Thus, non-relativistic gold would be white. The relativistic effects are raising the 5d orbital and lowering the 6s orbital.[9]
