Can RFID Technology be Used in Mechanical Safety Doors - for Opening and Closing Locks ?.

If yes, can this be useful to consumers ?

Note : The Door Locks type are Mechanical and not electronic in nature with Latches and Gears and there are Door keys for opening the same.

Some Observations from my side
-------------------------------------


1. There are Two Doors

a. Main Door b. Safety Door

2. Safety Door Adds a additional security cover for the Residence.

3. Both the Doors have Keys to open and close the Door.

4. Both the Doors have Mechanical Locks i.e. Levers, Gears.

5. When the User is inside the Residence, he will first open the Main Door
Manually and then Open the Security Door Manually.
No Door Keys are required for exiting the House.

6.When the User is outside the Residence, he will first open the
Security Door and then Open the Manual Door with the Door Keys.
Door Keys are required for entering the House.

Requirement

Automate the Processes for Opening the Main Door and Security Door using
RFID Technology.

Two Case Studies
---------------------

1. User in the Residence, wants to exit out.

a. Using RFID Device, Open the Main Door Lock automatically.
b. Using RFID Device, Open the Security Door Lock automatically.

Will there be two separate devices or a single device for both ?

2. User outside the Residence, wants to enter in.

a. Using RFID Device, Open the Security Door Lock automatically.
b. Using RFID Device, Open the Main Door Lock automatically.
