Any idea on what would be the material which absorbs microwaves best. I read somewhere about some guy using magnetite and being able to make it glow red... any truth in that?
Thanks.

Depending upon the chemistry and the application, silicon carbide.

Thanks. Indeed, an amazing product as the company claims.

Hi S1, Laserlight,
My experience is in Microwave communications and when dealing with 'absorbing' energy, it becomes a matter of terminating that energy to the characteristic impedance of the system. I personally used tapered waveguide that would terminate the signal (in this case 50 Ohms). No reflection, no wasted energy, and , If I remember correctly, they could be made to dissipate very high powers with very low loss (heat and power).
Just another point of view.
Peace,
Ron
