I know I'm new here, but has anyone else thought that since the Gulf of Mexico, is where the supposed meteor crashed that killed the dinosaurs out, might hold a meteor still, that has magnetic properties that would in fact conflict with our navigation systems of modern day aircraft and ships? Could that be why there is so much speculation and fear of the "Bermuda Triangle"? Seriously, there could be a large meteor underwater that we have yet to discover, that changed our world, and continues to change our world, that we have yet to discover. Yanno?

I thought there was a thread on here disproving the meteor strick theory? Some variety of bee's where found to have been alive before and long after the supposed strick.

The latest research that I have heard about found that methane gas eruptions that break through the ocean floor have been responsible for the missing ships and planes. If a methane gas bubble breaks the surface and a ship happens to be on top of this bubble it will instantly lose buoyancy and sink.

The prop engines on the planes that have gone down over the Burmuda Triangle have been found to have a very low tolernace for methane. I don't remember the numbers but I believe less than a 1% pure methane content in the engine will cause it to stall.

when i was a child, anything about this topic was eerie..lol particurarly in the 80's when there was limited information available etc
