I personal think that the mod here do a good job. The porn/spam will disappear by the next day. As for some of the name calling amungst the regulars well that is good for a laugh and I don't care for censorship that much. As for banning cranks,,, they popped one last week for posting only one word in two threads "Hello and Hi" Although that didn't last long He was back last night.

I am not for censoring ideas of people...even if I don't agree (freedom of speech). Spam and porn is another matter. They are not even normal members (persons who sign up because they want to discuss). They are bots more than likely.

To get an idea of how hard the mods are working. Click on Members near the top right of the page, to see the member list. At the bottom of this: change Showing to "Members", by to "Join Date", in to "Descending Order", with to "50" and hit Go. The list will show the most recently joined members. Scroll down a few pages and look at the histories of posters with just one post. You may be amazed just how many of these histories return an error. Most of the time it will be because the post was removed, most likely because it was spam.
It seems the moderators of this forum do not care if a few posters disrupt conversations.

I am not sure if you post moderate all the posts here on your forum
but I have noticed a very disturbing trend
It seems any newbie.... knowledgeable or not... polite or not....
is welcomed by negative comments, plain slander and sheer aggression
by a small group of posters...... maybe the same 2 or 3.... sock puppets may play a part
If you wish this forum to grow, then a decision must be made.
I sympathise with the dilemma of babysitting but IMO it just has to be done
and your rules need to continually enforced
