A forest system that predates the evolution of Gymnosperms and the flowering plants. This caused the atmospheric changes that enabled evolution to develop in a climate conducive to metabolizing animals. As a child, I remember reading about fern tree forests when "continental drift" was a much ballyhooed concept. Now it has morphed into plate tectonics and has been proven beyond doubt. I wonder if they have found the three foot long Dragonflies I heard of back then?

I posted that information to our resident genius, dud1.

He claims that his brain is not the same one as he had a week ago and that he has not had the time to get any information in it yet. laugh.gif
