They post unauthorized stuff about people and technology without permission.

Wikipedia will NOT remove offending information about people or technology even after polite requests according to many articles circulating on the web.

No complaints found in the first few pages.

I've been a pretty big Wikipedia fan and user and contributor myself.

If used correctly, Wikipedia provides references more easily at one location relevant to a particular topic than having to go through several searches, say.

On the other hand, the tendency to abuse is always there. Fortunately, you can undo obnoxious edits and document the reasons why in the article history or the discussion forum for the article.

I of course do not recommend Wikipedia be taken as final word of authority, but initial starting point for further data gathering.
PhysOrg scientific forums are totally dedicated to science, physics, and technology. Besides topical forums such as nanotechnology, quantum physics, silicon and III-V technology, applied physics, materials, space and others, you can also join our news and publications discussions. We also provide an off-topic forum category. If you need specific help on a scientific problem or have a question related to physics or technology, visit the PhysOrg Forums. Here you’ll find experts from various fields online every day.
