I hope you help me with this set of problems:

1.) a bus travels 400m between two stops. it starts from rest and accelerates at 1.5m/sqr.sec until it reaches a speed of 9m/s. the bus continues at this speed until it decelerates at 2m/sqr.sec until it comes to a halt. find the total time required for the journey.

2.) a passenger train starts from a station just a freight train on a parallel track passes in the same direction with the velocity of 15m/s. the passenger train has an acceleration of 80cm/sqr.sec. in how many seconds and how far from it after the passenger train has started will they be side by side?

3.) two trains, one traveling at 20m/s, and other at 40m/s, are headed toward one another along a straight level track. when they are 950m apart each engineer sees the other's train and applies the brakes. the brakes decelerates each train a a constant rate of 10m/sqr.sec. will the two trains collide? explain quantitatively.

i need a complete solution. thanks and GB!

I think you need to show you have tried to do it yourself.
