with hydroxyl can get ferroelectric
molecule to work ~1.2 nm

without hydroxyl can get ferroelectric
molecule to work 3 to 5 nm depending on material.

it will be interesting to see how the hydroxyl addition effects fatique and pinning of the ferroelectric molecule.
