The data for ice thickness is scant, but points unmistakeably to 2017 as the time when the Arctic ocean will be ice free in the summer. A couple of climatologists have confirmed to me that they are using ice coverage data instead of ice thickness because they have more reliable data for that.

As they get better data, I believe you will soon see the predictions coming more in line with mine. Thanks.
